Most Beautiful Girl in the World Essay Example For Students

Most Beautiful Girl in the World Essay She is the most beautiful girl in the world. She has long dirty blonde wavy hair. Her skin is as smooth as silk, almost like a porcelain doll, her cheeks are a rosy pink and she has light freckles on her nose and under her eyes. Her smile is the most breathtaking site to see, it lights the room and fills the darkest dwellings with a beautiful glow that radiates from her. Her smile leaves me breathless, speechless, heart pounding, deep breaths, and shaky hands. Her smile is truly a beautiful smile. Her voice is soft as a summer rain. Her touch gave me chills, it made the hair on my arm stand up. Her lips felt like the inside of a rose and her smell made me feel as if I were at home after being away for a long time, being in her presence gave me a sense of safety and that for once nothing else in the world seemed to matter. It all started with a follow on Instagram, I was scrolling through my notifications and she popped up asking to follow me. I accepted the request not intending for it to blossom into anything. I began to scroll through her photos. I was amazed by her outer beauty. I was drawn in by her hazel eyes and captured by her smile. We began to text, our conversations would go on for endless hours. We never ran out of things to talk about. I felt like I had known her my whole life and we have just been separated, so we had a lot to catch up on. We finally met in August of 2013. It was a scorching hot summer’s day, the light was beaming in through my window. The sunlight reflected off her car into my window as she pulled into my driveway, blinded by the glare I rushed to my front door to await her with a bouquet of fresh picked golden sunflowers. As she strolled up she was trying to hide her shy blushing smile behind her hands. My emotions were racing because that was the cutest thing I have ever seen. She came closer a little embarrassed from her shyness but we were face to face, despite my anxiousness and nervousness I pulled her in and wrapper her up in my arms. She squeezed me tightly not wanting to let go she clenched on tighter, her warmth was something I couldnt get enough of, the way her deep breath hit my neck, the way we already were gave me hope that we could have something original and special. We went inside and talked about everything under the sun from our siblings, to likes and dislikes to our hopes and dreams. I was in awe, I studied the way her mouth moved with every word she said, the way her eyes fluttered and lit up when she talked about the things she loves and the thing she was into. I was able to analyze every detail about her. All my focus was on her, I embraced and took in every word she said. I was simply mesmerized and infatuated by her. I was intrigued and at a loss for words because I have never had such a deep connection with somebody before. Our first time together lasted hours upon hours yet the length of time spent together didnt seem long enough, I had so much more to say and so much more I wanted to hear from her. It was late, the darkness outside was a perfect description of both of our feelings about her departure. The night was cold, there was a misty wind blowing in as she was getting ready to leave. I knew she didnt want to leave by the way she latched onto my arms. I could feel the compassion and the slowly the presence of sadness began to take over. .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d , .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .postImageUrl , .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d , .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:hover , .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:visited , .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:active { border:0!important; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:active , .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .udbd490dbb1c30c596cb8540b56ac458d:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Child Labour and in Impoverished Society EssayI gazed into her eyes, stared at her lips admiring every feature of her. I leaned in slowly and kissed her, it was the sweetest taste on my lips. She pulled away with that same shy blushing smile that she had when I first laid eyes on her, she looked deep into my soul, and she took my breath away with that one look and pulled me in for another memorable kiss. Our lips fit perfectly together, the passion behind each of our lips was being combined into one, and there were fireworks and sparks and all things that are good. The chemistry between the two of us was undeniable. I walked her to her car and kissed her once again, she climbed into her car sluggishly and started it. She backed out slowly of my driveway began to turn her wheels away from me, she gazed over with a somber look but still managed to give me a smile and a wave, and she drove off into the dark cold night. I stood outside for a while, hoping she would turn around and come back to me. I waited, standing there looking like a complete fool. I was picking up rocks and throwing them at the trees, I began to get upset so I threw my last rock a lot harder, the impact of the blow shocked all the black birds that were roosting in the tall tree, they were hectically flying off, leading my eyes back to the drive way. That’s when I saw her headlights, I rushed out to her car and she said â€Å"I didnt want to leave so soon, so I hope you dont mind but I came back. † My heart dropped and I smiled big. I helped her out of her of her car, and explained what I had planned for the rest of the night. I went inside and gathered some blankets, a couple pillows and a bottle of Moscato. I pulled the blankets in the bed of my truck, I set up a cozy pallet for us to lay on while we gazed at the stars. I popped the cork off the bottle of this heavenly substance. I poured the wine in both of our glasses, she put the wine to her lips and took a sip, I did the same. The bittersweet taste reminded me of her leaving but also gave me satisfaction because she returned.

Seattle university academic expectation Essay Example Essay Example

Seattle university academic expectation Essay Example Paper Seattle university academic expectation Essay Introduction Almost every person sooner or later thinks about getting a profound education. The question concerns not only which direction of studies to follow but what educational establishment to choose. Of course, it’s better when the good of students is put on the first place, where excellence in learning is valued with professional teachers the most predominant group of whom includes active scholars and when educational excellence achieved through diversity is highly celebrated. It’s very important when the educational institution advocates the development of responsible leaders who are really committed to the common good and fosters a concern for justice and a competence of promoting it. All facts mentioned above embrace the main values of the Seattle University, dedicated to â€Å"educating the whole person, to professional formation, and to empowering leaders for a just and humane world [.] connecting the mind to what matters.† (SU Mission and Vision) The information about the institution is easily accessible and is renewed regularly. All the necessary up-to-date information future students may obtain from the official web site of the Seattle University. The Bulletin of Information, which everyone may download for free from the Seattle University’s web site, contains all necessary data concerning academic programs. In this essay I’ll try to analyze the information pertaining Business Marketing and Marketing Management degree program with business marketing as my major. To deliver a clear explanation of what is required to know while studying marketing and especially business marketing, I’d like to describe a little the meaning of business marketing. We all know that marketing delivers a standard of living. When we deal with business marketing, this standard is delivered to business organizations, public agencies and non-profit institutions of all kinds, large and small. The standard is what exactly the customers or clients e xpect: information and quality products and services, priced right and distributed at appropriate locations. The international relations are also of a great importance here as far as the delivery not only around the nearest neighborhood but across the ocean. Business marketing offers a realistic and comprehensive image of non consumer marketing world when the purchasing decisions are based on very rational economic considerations that include such issues as potential demand, inventory levels, promotional support offered by the manufacturer and profitability of the product. It also encompasses a range of organizations such as federal, state, municipal or local government agencies which do not have profit as a primary goal. (Gross, 2-7) Seattle university academic expectation Essay Body Paragraphs Applying for Business Marketing program is possible due to double major opportunity. Before applying for this certificate program, all interested students should consult with the chairperson of the Albers School of Business and Economics or the School of Education for they both cooperate in certification program of business education and/or marketing. This is needed because some courses can not be met in the Settle University. Majoring in marketing requires a complete minimum of 180 quarter credits with cumulative (with double major 190 that comprises 25 credits for each major) and major grade point average of 2.25. (UGBulletin, 320) For major requirements you are to earn is C grade or better. The variety of subjects is combined to achieve the main strategic goals of educative program – to provide â€Å"educating the whole person, to professional formation, and to empowering leaders for a just and humane world.† (SU Mission and Vision) So, among Core Curriculum Requirem ents one may find College Writing: Inquiry and Argument, Introduction to Philosophy and Critical Thinking – as obligatory and to choose supplementary subjects from the following: Origins of Western Civilizations, Studies in Modern Civilization, Introduction to Literature, Elements or Calculus for Business or MATH 134, Fine Arts, Philosophy of the Human Person, Social Science (non economics and ECON 127 as required), Theology and Ethics (PHIL 351 required). (UGBulletin, 320) From this list we may see that the choice indeed sticks to the main goals combining professional fields with overall developing ones. The additional Albers School of Business required subject is also Non-business elective or MATH 118. Core Curriculum Requirements are dominated by general subjects that make students â€Å"critically thinking personalities.† Albers School of Business for Business Foundation Requirements has such subjects as Principles of Accounting (I and II), Business Statistics, Pri nciples of Economics – Micro, Quantitative Methods and Applications, Communications for Business, Introduction to Information Systems and E-Commerce. For choosing from are suggested: Global Environment of Business, Business Finance, Introduction to Management and so on. (UGBulletin, 321) For these a student may gain 70 credits, then for Major Requirements a student earns 25 credits. Here are placed such subjects as Buyer Behavior, Marketing Research and a list of Electives. To earn all required credits there are also additional Requirements. (UGBulletin, 321) The Seattle University hopes that students learn and achieve success in their overall course study because of the way they are taught. History of CREEP and Its Role in the Watergate Scandal

History of CREEP and Its Role in the Watergate Scandal CREEP was the unofficial abbreviation derisively applied to the Committee for the Re-Election of the President, a fundraising organization within the administration of President Richard Nixon. Officially abbreviated CRP, the committee was first organized in late 1970 and opened its Washington, D.C. office in the spring of 1971. Besides its infamous role in the 1972 Watergate scandal, the CRP was found to have employed money laundering and illegal slush funds in its re-election activities on the behalf of President Nixon. During the investigation of the Watergate break-in, it was shown that the CRP had illegally used $500,000 in campaign funds to pay the legal expenses of the five Watergate burglars in return for their promise to protect President Nixon, initially by remaining silent, and by giving false testimony in court - committing perjury - after their eventual indictment. Some key members of CREEP (CRP) included: John N. Mitchell - Campaign DirectorJeb Stuart Magruder - Deputy Campaign ManagerMaurice Stans - Finance ChairmanKenneth H. Dahlberg - Midwest Finance ChairmanFred LaRue - Political OperativeDonald Segretti - Political OperativeJames W. McCord - Security CoordinatorE. Howard Hunt - Campaign ConsultantG. Gordon Liddy - Campaign Member and Finance Counsel Along with the burglars themselves, CRP officials G. Gordon Liddy, E. Howard Hunt, John N. Mitchell, and other Nixon administration figures were imprisoned over the Watergate break-in and their efforts to cover it up. The CRP was also found to have had ties to the White House Plumbers. Organized on July 24, 1971, the Plumbers was a covert team officially called the White House Special Investigations Unit assigned to prevent leaks of information harmful to President Nixon, such as the Pentagon Papers to the press. Besides bringing shame on the office of President of the United States, the illegal acts of the CRP helped turn a burglary into a political scandal that would bring down an incumbent president and fuel a general mistrust of the federal government festering as part of protests against continued U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.  Ã‚   Rose Marys Baby When the Watergate affair happened, there was no law requiring a campaign to disclose the names of individual donors to political campaigns. As a result, the amount of money and individuals donating that money to CRP was a tightly held secret. In addition, corporations were secretly and illegally donating money to the campaign. Theodore Roosevelt had previously pushed through this prohibition of corporations donating money back in 1907. President Nixons secretary, Rose Mary Woods, kept the list of donors in a locked drawer. Her list famously became known as â€Å"Rose Marys Baby,† a reference to the popular 1968 horror movie titled â€Å"Rosemarys Baby.†   This list was not revealed until Fred Wertheimer, a campaign finance reform supporter forced it into the open through a successful lawsuit. Today, the Rose Mary’s Baby list can be seen at the National Archives where it is held with other Watergate-related material released in 2009. Dirty Tricks and CRP In the Watergate Scandal, political operative Donald Segretti was in charge of the many dirty tricks carried out by the CRP. These acts included the break-in at Daniel Ellsbergs psychiatrists office, the investigation of reporter Daniel Schorr, and plans by Liddy to have newspaper columnist Jack Anderson killed. Daniel Ellsberg had been behind the leak of the Pentagon Papers that had been published by the New York Times. According to Egil Krogh in an op-ed piece in the New York Times printed in 2007, he was charged along with others to carry out a covert operation that would uncover the state of Ellsbergs mental health in order to discredit him by stealing notes about him from Dr. Lewis Fieldings office. According to Krogh, the break in which found nothing about Ellsberg was done in the name of national security. Anderson was also a target due to his exposing classified documents that showed that Nixon was secretly selling arms to Pakistan in their war against India in 1971. Anderson had long been a thorn in Nixons side. The plot to discredit him was widely known after the Watergate scandal erupted. However, the plot to possibly assassinate him was not verified until Hunt confessed on his deathbed. Nixon Resigns In July 1974, the U.S. Supreme Court ordered President Nixon to turn over secretly-recorded White House audio tapes - the Watergate Tapes - containing Nixon’s conversations dealing with the Watergate break-in planning and cover-up. When Nixon first refused to turn over the tapes, the House of Representatives voted to impeach Nixon for obstruction of justice, abuse of power, criminal cover-up and several violations of the Constitution. At last, on August 5, 1974, President Nixon released the tapes, proving his complicity in the Watergate break-in and cover-up. Aware that his impeachment was almost certain, Nixon resigned on August 8 and left office the following day. Finally, on August 5, Nixon released the tapes, which provided undeniable evidence of his complicity in the Watergate crimes. In the face of almost certain impeachment by Congress, Nixon resigned in disgrace on August 8 and left office the following day. Just days after he was sworn in as president, Vice President Gerald Ford - who had no desire to run for president himself - granted Nixon a presidential pardon for any crimes he had committed while in office.

Smoking should not be allowed at public places Essay

Smoking should not be allowed at public places - Essay Example According to the 2003 poll conducted by MORI in London, 40% of the interviewees concurred that smoking should not be allowed in a restaurant, a public place; 54% wanted separation of smoking and non-smoking zones. The most striking fact was that only 4% were indifferent to the location or exposure to smoking. In another separate research on Edinburgh residents, 58% were in favor of banning smoking in public places while only 28% opposed the move (City of Edinburgh Council, 1). Smoking pollutes the environment by releasing toxic components to the atmosphere. Even though it is the right of smoker to have cigarettes, a clean environment on the other hand is a necessity for humanity. A ban on public smoking- no matter how- may seem unfair to smokers, it will ensure that people live in a clean environment by reducing pollution, and nonsmokers’ rights are taken into consideration. Over the weekends and in vacations, most parents do prefer to spend their time with their children in public places. What happens in a case whereby people smoke in such recreational or public places? The answer is almost obvious; Children learn by imitation, and would actually try to act out what they see or observed happening in their surroundings. Therefore, the presence of smokers in such localities is bad influence to children and may introduce them to smoking at early ages. As precautious measure, the state government should ban smoking in public places. Most chain smokers spend most of their money and time in cigarettes. Therefore, banning smoking in public places would result in limiting the frequency at which such people smoke. This will not only result in saving money and time that can be invested elsewhere in a more profitable manner but also help the state to reduce the average health problems arising directly from smoking. It is very hard for non-smokers to entertain the disgustful scent that arises as a

BHP Billiton Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3500 words

BHP Billiton - Case Study Example Apart from some specific small scale mining especially in high value low volume minerals, extraction of mineral resources usually requires large scale, capital intensive investments, Most projects are technologically challenging and investments are characterized by high degree of uncertainty and long gestation periods. In most developing countries except China and India, extraction industry seems to be export focused with significant scope of revenue creation but limited scope of employment generation. Mineral extraction also involves considerable threat to an ecosystem, and could have adverse social implications. Finally, mineral resources are non-renewable and often of strategic, geo-political importance. As a result, governmental influence tends to be high, which can interfere with the business operations. Owing to the huge capital investments required for extraction, this market has seen emergence of state-owned enterprises, which can depend on the government for the huge capital investments that they incur. Not all developing and least developed countries can afford the high capital investment. Therefore, this market is also characterized by the presence of large multi national corporations (MNCs), which have the financial power to make huge financial commitments. Exploration activities for minerals can not only take up long gestation periods, but can als... Exploration activities for minerals can not only take up long gestation periods, but can also result in unsuccessful attempts. Even after successful exploration, the investor needs to face the technical risk (involved in extraction at sometimes difficult sites), and market risk (demand and supply risks), political risks (nationalization).
